Let's take apart doordash a bit:
You have a double order two different customers from the same restaurant 3 minutes apart of pick up time.
First order is done on time, miracle that it is. You foolishly mark as picked up.
Next order pick up supposed to be ready 3 minutes later. It is ready 12 minutes later.
This means that the first customer was notified 12 minutes ago that you were on your way. But you were not on your way, you were sitting waiting 12 minutes for an that should have been ready 9 minutes ago.
What do you tell the first customer who inquires? What do you tell the second customer if they ask.
They might not ask. They might not care. They might care but will just stew in anger.
What do you tell the first customer? Do you tell them the reason they have to wait is because someone else is order that came after theirs is still being prepared?
In this instance if you are at the same restaurant for two customers or are back to back starting at One restaurant then going to another restaurant, I suggest you do not Mark any of the order picked up until both orders are picked up.
If it is going to be a long wait tell both customers the exact same thing, still waiting on the restaurant. Don't tell them about the other orders even if the app tells them that they're waiting in line for another order, don't you as a driver tell the customer this it is not your job to do that it is solely the job of doordash to communicate this information.
